St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union is dedicated to providing each member with quality financial services and products.  In order to provide such service and products, St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union must obtain and maintain personal private information in written and electronic means.  It is in our interest to review, develop and implement procedures that will protect your information on an ongoing basis.

Recognition of Our Members' Expectation of Privacy
St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union recognizes the importance of our members' right to privacy and our responsibility to safeguard the information entrusted to us.  Our organization will maintain and monitor security measures to protect the integrity of all St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union members' account information.

Our Collection, Use and Retention of Member Information
St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union will collect and use information only for the business purpose of providing quality financial services and products or to meet anticipated financial service needs or products.  Our organization does share financial information to credit reporting agencies, as required or needed.  St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union may disclose account information to our vendors to the extent that:

  1. It assists in completing a transaction
  2. It allows us to develop better services and products
  3. It allows us to market our products or services
  4. We must comply with laws or regulations

Member information is, for the most part, retained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles or in accordance with state or federal laws.  Records may be maintained in written or electronic form off site in order to comply with our disaster recovery policy.  Procedures and practices dictate that off site retention of current and past member information is protected from misuse of this information.

Our Maintenance of Accurate Information
St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union has implemented practices and procedures to obtain and maintain current and accurate member information.  Members should notify the Credit Union as soon as possible if any information provided by the Credit Union is deemed inaccurate.  Members may contact us by telephone, e-mail, fax, mail, or stopping by.  Our organization will respond to such requests in a timely manner as established by procedures or by laws or regulations.

Limiting Employee Access to Information
St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union has in place security measures that may limit employee access to member information.  All employees are trained and aware of the responsibility of protecting member information.  All information gathered by an employee will be kept in a confidential manner unless the member directs otherwise, we need to release such information to complete a transaction, or we are directed to turn information over by law.

Protection of Information
Member information is protected and safeguarded to the best of St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union's ability.  We have established practices and procedures that help protect the integrity of member data.  Our organization will periodically review such practices and procedures to ensure safeness and soundness.

Restrictions on the Disclosures of Account Information
St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union restricts the disclosing of member information unless:

  1. It assists in completing a transaction requested by the member
  2. It allows us to develop better services and products for the member
  3. It allows us to market our products or services to the member
  4. We must comply with laws or regulations

Maintaining Member Privacy in Outside Third Party Relationships
There will be times when St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union will negotiate on behalf of the membership to provide a service to the membership.  An example of such relationship is the printing of 1099 INT forms at year-end.  All third party vendors are required to maintain member information in strict confidence and to use such information for the specific task.  All third party vendors must comply with the applicable laws and regulations within their industry.

Website and Online Banking
St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union gathers information when you visit our website such as, domain address, date and time of access, and Internet address from which you linked to our site.  Information gathered from the website access may be used to understand who visits our website and how often.  This information is not sold or distributed to outside third parties without prior consent from the member.

E-mails are reviewed daily and used to process requests or address questions per the member. E-mails may be saved in written or electronic form in order to document requests or follow up on members' requests.  No information obtained from member e-mails are sold or distributed to outside third parties without prior consent unless the information is used to complete a transaction per the members' request.

St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union's Virtual Branch will allow access to your account via the Internet.  Access is by password and allows passage into a secured site.  Restricted access is for the members' protection and allows St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union to monitor activity conducted and measure how often members are accessing Virtual Branch.  When accessing Virtual Branch, a message will notify you that you are accessing a secure location and whether you choose to proceed.

Members may link to another site from St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union's web page.  Upon linking to another site we cannot be held responsible for information or data that may be gathered at the linked site.  For members' privacy, we suggest the member search the linked site for the site's own privacy policy.  Information collected through Virtual Branch is not sold or distributed to outside third parties.

St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union may change or modify this policy at any time.  In doing so, St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union will send annually, unless the law or regulations require differently, an updated privacy policy.  New members will receive this policy upon joining the Credit Union.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us by telephone, e-mail, fax, mail or stopping by.
